The ten-second moment
A tooth falls out. You hold it with the tweezers and draw the gold marker across it. It takes about as long as signing your name. Then it goes into the vial with the date on it, and the Gold Tooth Fairy leaves a little gold dust on the windowsill.

What is in the kit
Twenty baby teeth
Most parents have one tooth in an envelope, two in a drawer, and one nobody can find. The vial keeps them together. Each tooth gets a sticker with the date, and by the time your kid is twelve you have a small glass record of the years when they were losing teeth.

Meet the cousins
Silver visits at night and takes care of first teeth. Copper is the youngest, always a little late, and loves a tooth with a story. In the Gift Set, each cousin comes with her own metallic marker.

The night cousin. Soft-spoken, kind to first teeth.
The adventure cousin. Collects the teeth that came out in an apple.
How it works
Rinse the tooth under running water and pat it dry with a clean paper towel. Let it air dry until no moisture is visible.
Grip the tooth by the root end so the crown is free to color. Hold it over the paper towel.
Use the gold marker in slow, even strokes. Turn the tooth with the tweezers and cover every side you can reach.
Leave the tooth on the paper towel until it is dry to the touch. Do not handle it while the color is wet. If a spot looks thin, add a second coat after the first is dry.
Place the dry tooth in the glass vial and press in the cork. Write your child's name and the date on a sticker and put it on the vial.
Sprinkle a small pinch of gold dust on a windowsill or a tray, away from the bed. Close the packet and keep it out of reach. Wipe up the dust in the morning.
For grandparents and gift-givers
Order it now and it is waiting in the drawer when the first tooth wobbles. The Gift Set has all three metallic markers, so it keeps going through the whole run of lost teeth.
FAQ
The kit has a gold metallic marker, tweezers, a small corked glass vial, a sticker sheet for labeling the vial, an instruction card with safety information, a story booklet, and a packet of gold dust. It contains nothing else.
About five minutes of work, plus a few minutes for the color to dry before the tooth goes in the vial.
The booklet is an original short story about why the Gold Tooth Fairy turns teeth gold instead of taking them, and about her cousins Silver and Copper. It takes a few minutes to read aloud.
Children can watch from a safe distance, and an adult does the gilding. The kit has small parts, glass, a marker and a dust packet, so we do not describe it as a toy or as safe for unsupervised use. Read the instruction card before you start.
On a windowsill, a tray or a plate. Do not sprinkle it on a bed or bedding, and keep it away from eyes and young children.
In-stock orders ship within 3 business days. Delivery usually takes 2 to 5 business days after it ships. Pre-order items ship by the date shown on the product page.
